Randy Grimes - Randy talked about what it was like going up against Mike Singletary throughout his college and NFL career. On this episode of Thursday Night Tailgate our guests are: Red Sox Legend Rico Petrocelli, former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins, former Jets & Broncos DB Nick Ferguson, former Dolphins, Rams & Chargers TE Randy McMichael, and former Bucs Center Randy Grimes.
Rico Petrocelli - We got Rico's insights into this year's Red Sox team and if they will be able to go further in the post season than last year's team, especially considering they are dead last in the American League in home runs. We also talked his time in the game including his 1969 season when he hit .297 with 40 HRs and 97 RBIs.
Tony Collins - Tony talked about the difference between being in shape and being in football shape. He also talked about the potential for a players strike in 2021 after having been through one early on in his career. Tony also shared his thoughts on President of the NFLPA Eric Winston's comment that he doesn't care if the NFL is still around 20 years from now.
Nick Ferguson - Nick shared his insights on two of his former teams, the Jets and Broncos. He talked about where the Jets go from here after having turned over so much of their roster. He also talked about Paxton Lynch's future in Denver now that Trevor Simien has been named their starting QB.
Randy McMichael - Randy gave us his thoughts on his alma mater the University of Georgia and his expectations from them this season. He also talked about some players to watch on both sides of the ball. We also got his thoughts on Jay Cutler signing with the Dolphins and what a good season from Cutler could mean for Ryan Tannehill's future in Miami. We also talked about the Rams and fellow former Bulldog Todd Gurley.

Walter shared his memories of being a part of Bobby Bowden's first team at Florida State. He talked about how Bowden convinced him to scrap going to Miami and play at Florida State instead. He talked about their 47-0 loss to Miami in their 3rd game and Bowden promised they would never lose like that again. He also talked about how Bowden got them to believe that they were never out of game, no matter how far down there were.

Terry shared his memories of playing for Ara Parseghian at Notre Dame. He also talked in detail about Rocky Bleier, who he played with at Notre Dame and in Pittsburgh. He shared what it was like watching Rocky fight his way back from the injuries he sustained in Vietnam and the support Rocky got from Mr. Rooney. We also talked about Joe Greene plus what it was like facing the Steelers after he was released and signed by the Tampa Bucs during their inaugural season in 1976.

Former SMU, Eagles and Colts NT Harvey ARmstrong joined us on this segment of Thursday Night Tailgate. Harvey talked for the first time about the money he received to go SMU plus other things like the new cars got his sophomore and senior seasons. He said those sorts of things were rampant in the Southwest Conference at all the schools back then. Hear all that and more during our conversaton with Harvey.

Ed White - Ed shared his perspective on what the San Diego community is going through as they prepare for the first season without the Chargers since 1960. He also talked about what it was like lining up against Alan Page every day at practice and playing against the Hall of Fame front fours in the Steelers, Rams, and Cowboys of the 1970's.
