Randy Grossman, Tony Collins, Olandis Gary, Paul Alexander, & Denny McLain Join Us...

On this episode of Thursday Night Tailgate our guests are: former Steelers TE and 4 time Super Bowl Champion Randy Grossman, former University of Georgia and Denver Broncos RB Olandis Gary, Pittsburgh Sports Talk TV & Radio Host Paul Alexander, and Detroit Tigers legendary Pitcher Denny McLain. Former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins joins us to go through our 5 Star Picks of the Week for Week 16 in the NFL. This week in our Spotlight on the Positive segment hear the great things that Gerald McCoy and Alex Smith are doing to help families in need and foster kids go to college.
Randy Grossman - Randy shared his memories of Chuck Noll, signing with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 1974, what he did to make that team, Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson trash talking him, and the frustration each of the Receivers had because there were only so many passes to go around.
Tony Collins - Tony joins us to go through our 5 Star Picks of the Week for Week 16 in the NFL.
Olandis Gary - We got Olandis' thoughts on his alma mater the University of Georgia and their upcoming playoff game against Oklahoma. We also talked about their opportunity to exercise all their demons by potentially playing Alabama in the National Champioinship game. Olandis also shared his thoughts on playing with the Broncos and alongside fellow UGA alumni Terrell Davis.
We talked with Paul at length about the Jesse James non-catch against the Patriots, and what a dumb rule the current catch definition is. We also talked about how poorly prepared the Steelers were for covering Gronk in the Patriots last drive, and for the Steelers last couple of plays of that game. We also got his thoughts on the Garrit Cole situation with the Pirates and the slow start the Penguins have gotten off to this season.
Denny McLain - Denny talked about growing up a Cubs fan, hating the White Sox and then signing with the White Sox out of high school at the direction of his mother, over the Yankees who Denny wanted to sign with. He told the story of how the White Sox let him go, the Tigers immediately signed him and in his first Major League start he not only beat the White Sox, he also picked off 2 runners and hit a homerun. Hear those stories plus more from his amazing 31 win season in 1968 and a whole more...
