On this edition of Thursday Night Tailgate we're joined by former Alabama and Cowboys RB Sherman Williams, former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins, former LSU and Bears WR Wendell Davis, former Clemson and Steelers LB Levon Kirkland, and Sirius/XM NFL Channel Host Zig Fracassi.
Sherman Williams - Sherman shared his stories and insights about his time playing at Alabama and the Cowboys. He talked about beating Miami in the 1992 National Championship game, how much trash they talked and nearly getting into a fight with their players prior to the game on Bourbon Street. We also talked about his books "Crimson Cowboy" and "Peace Between the Lines" which talk about the rise and fall of a guy who was a 3 time champion, in high school, college and in the NFL.
Tony Collins - Tony joined us to go through our 5 Star Picks of the Week for Week 8 in the NFL.
Wendell Davis - Wendell gave us his thoughts on his alma mater LSU and the direction they're going in. We talked about their recent wins and looked ahead to their matchup against Alabama. Wendell talked about his time with the Bears and what it was like when he first met Mike Ditka. We also got his thoughts on the Bears season and Mitch Trubisky.
Levon Kirkland - We talked with Levon about his alma mater Clemson and what it was like for him when he saw Hunter Renfrow catch the TD pass that won the National Championship for Clemson last season. We also got more memories from his time playing in Pittsburgh including his favorite Greg Lloyd story who he said was scary to opponents and his teammates.
Zig Fracassi - Zig gave us this thoughts on the Ezekiel Elliott suspension situation, the Steelers situation with Martavis Bryant, who the surprise teams are in the NFL so far this season, plus who to lookout for in the NHL and College Hockey this season.
